Hi all, I don\'t if this is a FAQ, but here goes:

Under \"Results\" I have several WUs listed, that are
never going to be finished because of boinc problems,
project resets, etc...

I would like to have them retired, before the 1 year
deadline runs out, so they can be redistributed.

Regards Hans

I have the same thing. Had a CPU and a motherboard blow out on me and caused much bad karma on this computer. Unfortunately there is no way to 'retire' a work unit. The admins can do it and I think they might at some point go through and re-send out any work units that haven't had a trickle in a couple weeks or something. But nothing you can do so just sit back and relax :)

I've tried sending an email to CPDN, but that's over two weeks ago now, and I've got no reply at all, nor gotten my faulty work units deleted.

There are checks in place to detect work units that are not trickling, but I've no idea how long it takes to error out one that didn't end with a client error. I'd guess that allowances have been built in for slow machines running CPDN with a relatively low resource share.

Work units with client errors are definitely being recirculated. I had this one error out a few weeks ago (due to stupidity on my part, I hasten to add) and it was pretty quickly rescheduled.

It also seems that work units have been getting sent out to multiple hosts for 3 or 4 weeks. This WU failed on 1 host but is processing successfully on 3, but this one has failed on 3 hosts, with only 1 host processing it successfully.
