I\'m running the climate prediction and the seti project on boinc,i have set 70% to seti and 30% to climate;i knew that boinc has to run for 7 hours seti and for 3 hours climate but climate prediction is always paused and seti is running from more than 7 hours

Someone can tell me why?

Thank you

One explanation could be that you had both of them running for a while, but seti work was not being given out at some point. I know that seti has been a little flakey about that. Now that there is seti work again it is trying to catch up, and is running more than what seems to be its share.

Another possible reason :

It's CPU time what it counts there, not realtime. I had such an effect when I had 2 tasks on a dual CPU machine but needed to finish a few Seti Classic WUs - but of course didn't want to stop BOINC for that or set it to 1 CPU only.

So if you use a lot of CPU time for something else or if your computer goes into power saving mode sometimes, realtime and CPU time for the BOINC tasks can differ a lot.
