Climate model code is so outdated, MIT starts from scratch
Julia replaces Fortran as the basis for Earth's new digital twin.
When faced with climate models coded in Fortran in the 1960s and 70s, MIT decided there wasn't any more cobbling together left for the ancient code, so they decided to toss it out and start fresh.
... CLiMA made the determination that old climate models, many of which were built 50 years ago and coded in Fortran, had to go if there was going to be any progress toward better climate models. Now that he's working at MIT on the CGC project, he's realized that "traditional climate models are in a language [MIT] students can't even read."

Not sure what, but something still not working. Fresh W/Us, PCs on 24/7... and nothing. Can't upload the trickles. Sometimes they get to 100% but then... nothing.
Did you read what Les Bayliss / Volunteer moderator posted several posts prior above that this has been addressed and will be looked into after the responsibile people return on Tuesday.

I use https for all CPDN web pages in web browsers with NO ERROR MESSAGE and as previously noted in this thread project was detached / exited BOINC / re-attached using HTTPS on my 2 PC's.
MAIN web page requested as https://climateprediction.net loads to that page.
Forum, server stats and account pages go to https://www.cpdn.org/cpdnboinc/ .

When the project servers resumed stats export on 2018-06-29 EVERYONE LOST CREDIT.
I personally lost 15,959 credit/points.

I then ran top to try and see what was actually happening and it informed me that the three CPDN tasks were stopped and the usage figure for the amicable numbers task indicated it was indeed using all four cores.
BOINC has ALWAYS been this way as far as I recall - ALL CORES or NOTHING for Multi-task projects.
