>Thanks for the help.I am running a command line boinc and cannot find a way to initiate connection. However I have checked my prefs page and the item "computers". It turns out that I have 5 computers listed under id's first is 169746 which lists the only trickles up to 2005-06-17. Then there are the four other ID's with zero trickles, the last has changed my computer name and they have different IP Nos. When in the office I have an IP address which is not what I use at home (the latter only added when I switched to broadband - determined by the broadband server). My question now is-- can I get get rid of the idle ID's and get back to some normality? Alternatively should I get rid of all that I have done so far and start again with a new account and if so will the diferent IP addresses be a problem? Finally I guess if I do start again is it worth switching to Boinc 4,43 for the Mac? It may be that my problems began when I attemted to switch to that and may be about 17 June!! I gave up on it and returend back to the old system and it seemed to staert up OK!! I note that CPDN are considerring dropping Macs because of the difficulty in maintaing their system idiosychcracies compared to MS PC''s.

>Sorry I have messed up replying but here I go again. I am running boinc 4.19 on a Mac OS 10.3.9. I have only one std file and that is stderr,txt in the slots/0 directory and that file is empty. I have 21 trickle up files. All are short and contain similar to the following (the last on 2 Aug)

91 2 Aug 18:14 trickle_up_3y8f_100206184_0_1122970452.xml
orig
3y8f_100206184

The only one with more was on 28 July with;

3464460

284.649,286.399,288.039,286.396,284.552,286.442,287.96,286.385,284.564,286.377,287.929,286.485$

In /slots/0 there are some *.zip files eg cpdnout5.zip with;
../../projects/climateprediction.net/3y8f_100206184_0_5.zip

When I say I finished, I ran the 25,900 or so time steps of phase 1 and am now on to phase 2.

I have had no problems in starting the program up again at the right time step after a controlC shut down and computer shut down and restart. Boinc Stat viewer gives my credits as 378.070002 with the last rpc on 23/05/05

Further to my last re, not running. After an update, boinc4.43 is running models (in Manager status column) but showing no cpu time or progress (except when 100%), no statistics and no graphics on screen saver or through viz . The models haved ranged from 3usa_100201671 to 3xqp_100205540, and upload after very short run times. After seeing the normal graphics output on viz under 4.19. I am a little confused. Can any one explain what is going on please??
