i find it hard to believe that AVG would be killing your WU processes. I would look at your onboard RAM. I had a bad stick and it would consistently fail on a WU. I suggest doing a memtest64 and seeing if its the RAM.

nope this is not a BOINC problem just a CPDN problem. I run both Seti and CPDN and can watch every WU of seti as it is crunched. I cannot watch the CPDN unfortunately

I've got the same problem. no graphics. All my drivers are up to date. I run seti beside CPDN and I can see the graphics for seti.

yes I restarted with the same WU. It showed that I had completed about 250+ hours of work but had 0.00% completed. currently it has wworked its way back up to around 5%. When it restarted it showed a completion time of aroun 20,000 hours. I attributed this to me having 0% done and 250 hours of time worked. it has come down greatly since that time. I can onnly assume that some file associated with the trickles or the WU were altered showing that I had not completed any work.

I had some major system problems with my xp machine this last weekend. When all was said and done BOINC started up and ran CPDN since I was out of seti WU's. THen I noticed that I had 220+ hours into the WU and it restarted the WU from the beginning. Did CPDN miss something? did I get a data file corrupted? I also noticed that I am not receiving credit for the reworked portion of the WU which is ok since it would be like getting double Pts for the WU. Is there a file to change to make this WU see where it is supposed to be at?

I looked at my BOINC projects today and saw that the CPDN had finished but was still sitting on my machine. I updated with CPDN and then went and checked on my score. I had recieved about 7500 pts since I last checked it a few days ago. Is this normal for CPDN to hand out large amount of pts or os this a glitch in the update process on BOINC?
14) Questions and Answers : Unix/Linux : Running same WU on both Linux and Windows? (Message 3053)

i dont think that is possible since the linux and windows Boinc are distinctly different processes. I woudl think that they would be incompatible for processing from both OSes. I would suggest just installing a separate Boinc on both and just process the assigned WU that is given. since linux and Windows dont look at files the same way it would be hard to get them to see the same WU and process it as if it werent on a different OS
