1) Message boards : Number crunching : 13 HOUR BUG (Message 42414)

This is more like a 0 hour bug - the server says I have hadcm3n_r1wj_1940_40_007291053_0 but I assure you I don't. It failed to download over the weekend so it's not there and neither are the files in "download pending". Here's the task:

http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=12971223

You might like to abort it so that someone else can have it.

The other task on my account did download correctly and is running.... so results will come in eventually.

After having lost 120,359 credits on 1th September, today I got 122,440.50 credits restored without crunching for CPDN for at least four month. The yield of 2000 points is good for three days missing part of my credits :)

Same here.... my credits before the crash were 101,577.71 and now they are 105,740.71 a net gain of 4,163.54 and I wasn't crunching CPDN for more or less the same period. Mind you I'm not complaining.... ;-)

BOINCstats currently reports a project total RAC of -41,519,397 - so we're somehow "un-crunching" :

CPDN project totals

I'm not sure if our computers are injecting electricity into the wall plugs though - so it might not be the solution for all energy problems ;-)

... Does this mean I get a refund from the Electricity Company... Yippeee! :-S

In case it's any help here's a list of WUs which have disappeared (all pre 1st september 2009):

Looks like I lost about 20.000 credits this is my user total credit from yesterday's backup of the client_state.xml file for the project CPDN:

<user_total_credit>101577.168882</user_total_credit>

My credit on the CPDN web site and various statistics sites has dropped to 82,093. The drop in credits is registered on my stats at between 15:00 - 16:00 today.

.... "Matilda, she take me money and run Venezuela!" ... I think Matty's got a little confused lately and mistook Boinc credits for Big Bucks... ;)

As was posted in the News on the 18th of June:
I've now got a temporary server running as uploader1.atm.ox.ac.uk. It's not very good hardware and has limited space, so there may be delays in uploading

My apologies - I thought the problem had been resolved in the end.

It's just a quaint old custom that they have in England, called The Week End.

... Hey, Moriarty, they still have the "Week End" in good ol' Blighty!
All the best....

Same error here since last night:

13/07/2009 09:00:08 Backing off 1 hr 5 min 5 sec on upload of hadam3p_mal2_1987_2_006115552_1_2.zip
13/07/2009 09:00:08 Temporarily failed upload of hadam3p_mal2_1987_2_006115552_1_2.zip: transient upload error
13/07/2009 09:00:08 [error] Error reported by file upload server: Server is out of disk space

According to Server Status all lights are green.

Is there a Disk space problem with the upload server (should be this one according to client_state.xml: cpdn-upload1.comlab.ox.ac.uk) ?
