hi from spain,

i promise this is my last post. As i mentioned in another post
http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=6536
i removed boinc from my computer in the wrong way. Instead of going to the projects tab and select suspend the project i went to the tasks tab and select abort. But what it worst, before uninstall in a stupid way boinc, i didn\'t update boinc nor detach boinc from the project. This is the result: now the computer i did not want to use boinc (because i\'m running two virtual machines on it) is assigned to my user account and have also two tasks assigned to it. The other pc is also assigned to my user account (no problem), the wrong one has computer id of 959367, it\'s hostname is \"workstation\", their tasks are 8515393 and 8515390. Can i re-assign the tasks to the computer i want to run boinc, with hostname \"server2\"? can i removed \"workstation\" from the project? Do i own you a drink for beeing such a heavy user? no problem, visit Barcelona...
thanks...
2) Questions and Answers : Windows : cpu usage above what specified in preferences (Message 36454)

hi from spain,

while running only Boinc in one of my pc\'s i discovered through \"task Manager\" that the cpu usage of the process \"hadam3p_um_6.06_windows_intelx86.exe\" was reaching levels of 80% and more (84, 87 even 99) with continuous picks of activity with that percentages. In the simple view of Boinc manager i specified not to use more than 50 of the processor, and in the advanced view i specified not to use more than 50% of cpu time and use at most 50% of the processors in multiple processors systems. My computing preferences on climateprediction.net specify the same values that i mentioned for advanced view.

Should i use another program rather than task manager to know my cpu usage properly?
it\'s a very strange situation, can anyone tell me if there\'s something i can do? will those percentages of cpu usage affect my cpu?
3) Questions and Answers : Windows : moving boinc to another computer, in the wrong way (Message 36444)

hi from spain,

i\'ve decided to move boinc from one computer to another, but i\'m sure i did it the wrong way; what i did was to install boinc on the other computer and abort the tasks running on boinc from the first computer. The second one is working fine, but as i try to uninstall boinc on the first computer and receive an error, i try to do something stupid: i deleted the installation in c:\\program files\\boinc and deleted the directory c:\\documents and settings\\all users\\application data\\boinc and deleted all registry entries i found by the keyword \"boinc\", now it\'s imposible to uninstall boinc or repair it, because access to the application data\\boinc directory is denied. Well that dosen\'t matter to me, what worries me is if the tasks my computer was processing have been re-assigned to someone else when i press the abort button...
i know, i shouldn\'t play with computers, is there a possible solution, or is that a complete mess...
thanks...
