1) Message boards : Number crunching : Time remaining and Percentage going backwards. (Message 36145)

Hi Iain. Thank you for your quick response.

I mend to say about the percentage. It was not 78% but 84%.
There are new symptoms. Both Time remaining and Percentage are fluctuating.
There is BOINC logo but no graphics shown. I do not know when it disappeared.
I will abort the model. The pity is that only 16% are left to completion.

Thank you again.

I noticed strange computing of hadsm3mh_kl5c_006010988_7、 Time remaining increasing and Percentage decreasing.
I am not sure but it occurred at about 78% point and after I had restarted BOINC.
Elapsed time is normally increasing and no error message is read.
Thanks.

Yes, both restored models are in the Tasks tab and are running but the detached model is not.

One model was downloaded right after one of two models had crashed. (CPU is dual core)
The model was detached when the crashed and the other healthy model were restored.
Computation for one of the restored models will be over in two weeks or so.
If I have to work on the detached model, how to start it ?
Below is Tasks for User and TaskID8217104 is the one in question.

Thanks.

Hi mo.v
It is my pleasure to tell you that the crashed model has passed 75%.
I don’t know the exact point where it crashed but it should be less than 75%.
The two restored models are normally progressing.

Thanks again.
6) Questions and Answers : Getting started : Restore (Message 35648)

Post:
I tried to restore two models, the crashed one and a normal one. (CPU is dual core)
The instruction I used for the restoring was “Simple guide to backups” of README. “The Procedure for Restoring Individual Crashed Runs in a multi Project/model Setup” looked too complicated for me who is not advanced user.
It seems the restoring was successfully done and these two models are normally running.
But data on “Tasks for user” are strange. Below are some of them.
(1)Crashed model
The same data generated at the crash remain. Server state : Over. Outcome: Client error. Client state: Compute error etc.
(2)Normal model
Server state: Over. Outcome: Client detached. Granted credits are given.

I would like to know if this restoring is good or not and if not what to do for the next step.
It will take few days before reaching the point crashed.
Thank you very much for your help.

I have a backup file that I made last week. Is it worth restoring for this error ?

Thank you for your advise. I\'ve changed the Micro Trend settings.
I also have learnt much from the READMEs.

Post:
Internet Security (Trend Micro) logged five time denials against accesses to “climateprediction.net\\hadcm3trans_5.44_windows_intelx86.exe” in the last month.
It seems two CPDN tasks are running without trouble.
Are they normal accesses by CPDN server ? If so, I need to change settings of Internet Security to permit the access.

Thanks in advance!

After waiting for another day or so without getting any change, I suspended SETI to see what would happen and got a new one in seconds.
All projects are steadily running. I would like to express my thanks to all of you giving me support.
