1) Questions and Answers : Windows : Error on \"View\" Results (Message 15857)
Posted 10 Sep 2005 by old_user52671
Post:
Hi,

another thing: one of my results (http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/workunit.php?wuid=346483, finished May 7th) shows pending on the results page. I already received credits for that finished wu long ago ;-)
My other finished result (http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/workunit.php?wuid=369759) has its credits granted like before the software upgrade.

Both wu show up with the error \"Too many total results\" ...

The total credit on my account page has not changed.

Cheers

Hi Carl,

should have known and simply have some faith ...

Thanks again!

Carl,

everything is back again. I wasn't able to post earlier, because just when writing the reply with the answers to your questions the server died. And sorry for the disgusted undertone in the last post, but i was really down at that moment ... felt so helpless ... wasn't even able to register for the php-fora 'cause my browser didn't display the confirmation-picture :-))

Thank you very much for your help, i keep on crunching (would have anyway ;-)

[Edit]
I tried to send a mail to the php-forum-administrator because of not getting the confirmation-code picture. This is what i get back (no problem for me now, but maybe it can be fixed for others):

"This message was created automatically by mail delivery software (Exim).

&gt; &gt; Have you read <a>
&gt; href="http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=3111"&gt;
&gt; this</a>
&gt; &gt; thread about Carl's credit fixing?
&gt;
&gt; Well I have read that thread and it just happens, that from an account of more
&gt; than 20,000 points crunched thru several endless working hours, now my credit
&gt; count has gone down to a few points above the 10,000 mark (10,585.96 to be
&gt; exact).
&gt;
&gt; Truly, in this particular case, if this is the way things are going to be
&gt; counted and left as such, I know that it is up to me to continue or just drop
&gt; the crunching in this project. I think that I will probably stay with the
&gt; other projects. This is not serious!!!
&gt;
&gt;

Yup, i am down to 3.6k credits now, so that fixing has blown away about 70% of the credits i earned yet and both models i fought for three month on 2 puters. Thank you very much.

Hi,

2 successful runs vanished from my result table, and with them the ~13k credits and the calculated model years have vanished, too.

If the results were purged, shouldn't the achieved figures like credit and calculated model years stay?

Regards,
Femue

[Edit]
The results were 1y2a_200111727_1, finished 22nd of May 2005 and 3x94_000204901_1, finished 7th of May 2005.

6) Questions and Answers : Windows : Have 4 phantom-WU with new recommended client 4.43 (Message 12774)
Posted 22 May 2005 by old_user52671
Post:
Hi all,

after installing the new recommended client 4.43 (see <a href="http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php">BOINC download page</a>), i tried to get new work from climate. The client always quoted "no schedulers responded" and finally "daily quota exceeded". Curious, i looked at my results page and found out that there are 4 wus listed "in progress" i don't have on my computer. Right then i went back to client 4.25 and finally got a new workunit successfully. But in my account i now have these 4 wus i don't really have ...
As the deadline is in about a year, what will happen to them? As i do not have them, i can't report them as errors ... is this work lost for that long time?

Regards,
Femue
