Thanks Les. I had recently upgraded to BOINC 6.2.18 and had the unit paused while I was running some SETI Astropulse units. The combo of Astropulse and CPDN causes both to slow way down. Anyways, I had resumed the CPDN unit and noticed the monochromatic state but hadn\'t restarted the client. As usual, your fix worked.

I was still a bit concerned though by the unit when I looked at the other completed ones. But I\'ll let it run, just on the off chance that it tells the scientists something different (or maybe the same)....

Have a great day/night depending upon your time zone.

Wendy

Hey folks. I\'m not sure if i have an issue or not. I\'ve been running a model for just over 500 hrs (not bad for my little P4 with HT). Anyways, I have made it to phase 3. However, when I go to show graphics, the globe is just monochrome. Here\'s a link to the task 7536632. In poking around on the other tasks for this work unit, I can\'t tell if it\'s worthwhile to keep running this or not. BOINC Mgr is predicting another 221 hrs until completion. I remember reading in another thread this morning that if a model become monochrome to consider aborting it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Yes, I had my fingers crossed for a few days to see if it really would complete. I\'m just happy to be able to contribute to this project.

Mo - I\'ve read the readmes about doing backups. However, I never got around to doing one on this model. That\'s why I was so happy it completed.

Have a great day!

Wendy

P.S. I was looking at my computer stats and noticed that my DCF is above 1 (I think when I looked at it the other day it was 1.4 and now it\'s down to 1.2). I guess this will correct over time? I\'m just used to seeing on other projects I run that my DCF is general 1 or lower.

I am so happy - after 4300 hrs I have just completed a model (believe it was an ocean).

8/14/2007 5:27:14 PM|climateprediction.net|Computation for task hadcm3ohc_182r_05605482_1 finished

It\'s been a while since I\'ve had one run the whole way through.
