I have the problem of processor being overused. All of the Hadam work units use all eight even though I have prefs set to use only four both on the local prefs and the Boinc prefs. As a result, my computer slows to a crawl when CPDN wu's are running unless I go into Windows 8.1. task mgr. and manually set processor affinity to four. What is going on here? I don't want to suspend crunching of CPDN wu's when I'm using the computer. Other projects I participate in don't present this problem even when they are using all eight processors.
