WAH2 CREDITS SET TO LOW
(Message 52640)
Posted 30 Sep 2015 by Ziggy Post: As an additional comment to this thread started by JIM's message 52604:- For over a year I have recorded my credits on an excel spreadsheet. The figures below support the original estimates of under allocation of credits. I have 3 PCs running 24/7 and the first four daily results show credits prior to me including WAH 2 model types and the second four when all machines were running WAH 2 models predominantly. The difference is slightly under-stated because in the interval I had to replace a failed PC with a faster model. Score Difference 07/09/15 17,715,079 26,294 08/09/15 17,741,556 26,477 09/09/15 17,763,513 21,957 10/09/15 17,788,352 24,839 Sub-total 99,567 16/09/15 17,868,946 7,887 17/09/15 17,877,331 8,385 18/09/15 17,884,787 7,456 19/09/15 17,891,952 7,165 Sub-total 30,893 I now tend to micromanage by temporarily suspending WAH 2 models when others are available! |

Credit updates?
(Message 48545)
Posted 26 Mar 2014 by Ziggy Post: My last credit was on the 25th Feb! A record for me. I too applaud the feedback provided. Well done Hannah, a welcome first that is not only very interesting but also very rewarding to the many who have provided support to projects over the years. I hope that it will not be the last. |

Problems downloading projects?

Posted 15 Feb 2013 by Ziggy Post: Les, Thank you. I'm relieved I'm no longer haunted by WU from the past. Have just deleted 167 gz files downloaded on the same day. |

Posted 15 Feb 2013 by Ziggy Post: Hi, I have a problem I have not encountered before. I have one hadam3p WU showing in Tasks for which the zip file has remained in Transfers for several days ( Along with 8 gz files, at least some for other WU not listed.) Log shows 'Internet access OK -project servers may be down'. Server status has been solid green. Are these all failed WU and should I reset project? Trevor |

Six trickles seem to have been submitted by the Windows 7 version before it abandoned the tasks. (There is a delay is displaying trickles at the moment, which will delay things a bit longer.) EDIT: I think I get it! Although Win 7 didn't carry out any processing on the tasks it will have reported them as complete and therefore the points have already been allocated? |

I apologise for not being precise. Win 7 didn't run any of the original tasks, the 100% was shown immediately. The 6 trickles from Win 7 were for a different set of tasks. |

Posted 3 Jun 2009 by Ziggy Post: On the 29 May I installed Win 7 64 bit on my dual boot system and copied the existing BOINC data from my Win XP 64 bit. Win 7 BOINC loaded the data, then reported 100% completion and requested, received and ran fresh data. Win 7 then crashed later in the day (Not related to BOINC)and could not be recovered. I reverted to Win XP which happily ran the original data where it had left off. It is still running and reporting but no credit is appearing. |

Posted 4 May 2008 by Ziggy Post: [quote]I think the problem at BoincStats has been sorted out. Right CPDN ID# for you and all the credits are there: ------------ Many thanks for sorting it out. I had not realised I had accumulated so many computer id\'s. No wonder I was struggling to pass the 25,000th position mark! I am most grateful. |

Posted 4 May 2008 by Ziggy Post: Click on \'All hosts\' here: ---------- Thank you, I have reduced the proliferation of IDs to one but the ID on my current project was none of these. How do I re-attach this errant ID? The stats I referred to are the BOINC detailed stats, and I THOUGHT I had attached to my existing account. |

(Message 33659)
Posted 3 May 2008 by Ziggy Post: I have had to reinstall all programs, including BOINC, after a disk crash and took the opportunity to upgrade to XP 64 BOINC model. Since this the recorded stats have been half those I usually manage and today the stats show that I have lost 197,219 credits. |

Posted 13 Mar 2007 by Ziggy Post: Thank you. I am now back on course, although still without a simple view, but after discovering the stats pages, who needs simple. 134,000 credits makes me better than 99.26365% of my fellow citizens. Though this doesn\'t leave much leeway for future achievement it makes a chap feel good. What! It certainly will show The Knights who say Ni but also say that I broke their computer. A lot of spam I call it. |

(Message 27305)
Posted 13 Mar 2007 by Ziggy Post: I have used BOINC 5.4.11 for some weeks and am happy to be able to run at 80% on my laptop, which previously kept my coffee hot. After I transferred to CPDN on my desktop the other day the VIEW tab disappeared and, as I am still running a BBC Climate Change project, the CPDN project recognised only one of my AMD 64x2 processors, allocated 50% resources to each project but only runs each project alternately at 2 hour intervals. Can the two projects not share the cpu since both are running hadcm35.15? |
