Thanks pindakoe. Unfortunately I\'m running the windowed (windoze) version which doesn\'t supply a boinc.log. I should have specified in the initial post. (embarrassed smiley)

Does anyone know where the current timestep is stored? Or even the ts of the last \'write results to disk\'? I thought client_state.xml, but can\'t find it in there.
TIA.

Following on from Astro's post, if anyone there imports a certain white powder then maybe they can hide the mugs amongst it so as to escape detection.

This
<a href="http://www.actco.org.au/charitycomputers/"> Charity Computers </a>
is the local (Canberra, Oz) place. Church-based, operates out of a disused high school. It is mostly volunteer-run, gets donations from individuals and gubbument depts upgrading in batches of 1,000; P1-P3s, refurbishes them and provides them to anyone with any sort of Social Security card at $AU 50-250. Incidentally, a P3-500MHz boots 'doze '98 *much* faster than my 3GHz HT P4 boots XP.
Presumably there are similar organisations in other parts of the world.

Just like the bible tells the true story of the history of the universe. In both cases a bit of evidence would be a nice thing.
The difference being that Crichton's book is labelled fiction.

I'm sure there are some clones...

Anyway, you're staff so you should be able to do a database query.

I participate but am considered extremely interview-unfriendly. Both comments on the board and my employment record for the last 20 years bear this out.

In your boinc client click Settings/Attach to Project.
In the Project URL: field type (or copy-and-paste) http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc
In the Account ID: field copy-and-paste the account ID from the email that you received when you created an account with CPDN. Normal Windoze hilighting copies a space at the end of the selected string, ensure that there is no space there before clicking OK.
Click OK.
Assuming the URL is working and you supplied a valid Account ID and everything's working at Oxford, your client will then download a client and a WU and start processing it.

Dogbytes,
your problem is possibly because large parts of the site are down at the moment. Carl has suggested this as an alternate URL to attach to:
http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc
