HadCM3 short needs 826.30MB more disk space
(Message 50201)
Posted 16 Sep 2014 by Graeme Hewson Post: This is a known problem, then? Is it going to be fixed? I've now disabled HadCM3 short in my preferences. To be honest, my patience with the project is wearing thin. I re-joined a few months ago after a break of a few years, and it's been one problem after another, after another. |

Posted 16 Sep 2014 by Graeme Hewson Post: BOINC has stopped running Climateprediction for me after issuing the message: Message from server: UK Met Office HadCM3 short needs 826.30MB more disk space. You currently have 973.70 MB available and it needs 1800.00 MB. I increased the allowable disk space only a few weeks ago after getting a similar message. /var/lib/boinc-client/projects/climateprediction.net currently has 8.8GB. Most of the space is taken up with various hadcm3s files: du -sh * 316K anz.jpg 56K eu.jpg 236K globe.jpg 2.1M hadam3p_anz_6.10_i686-pc-linux-gnu 76K hadam3p_anz_data_6.10_i686-pc-linux-gnu.zip 3.6M hadam3p_anz_graphics_6.10_i686-pc-linux-gnu 2.8M hadam3p_anz_se_6.10_i686-pc-linux-gnu.so 2.3M hadam3p_anz_se_6.10_i686-pc-linux-gnu.zip 5.3M hadam3p_anz_um_6.10_i686-pc-linux-gnu 2.2M hadam3p_anz_um_6.10_i686-pc-linux-gnu.zip 2.1M hadam3p_eu_6.09_i686-pc-linux-gnu 76K hadam3p_eu_data_6.09_i686-pc-linux-gnu.zip 3.6M hadam3p_eu_graphics_6.09_i686-pc-linux-gnu 2.5M hadam3p_eu_se_6.09_i686-pc-linux-gnu.so 1.6M hadam3p_eu_se_6.09_i686-pc-linux-gnu.zip 5.3M hadam3p_eu_um_6.09_i686-pc-linux-gnu 2.2M hadam3p_eu_um_6.09_i686-pc-linux-gnu.zip 2.6M hadam3p_pnw_7.22_i686-pc-linux-gnu 76K hadam3p_pnw_data_7.22_i686-pc-linux-gnu.zip 4.1M hadam3p_pnw_graphics_7.22_i686-pc-linux-gnu 2.5M hadam3p_pnw_se_7.22_i686-pc-linux-gnu.so 3.6M hadam3p_pnw_se_7.22_i686-pc-linux-gnu.zip 5.6M hadam3p_pnw_um_7.22_i686-pc-linux-gnu 2.3M hadam3p_pnw_um_7.22_i686-pc-linux-gnu.zip 445M hadcm3s_190o_2001_2_008987082 4.0K hadcm3s_190o_2001_2_008987082.xml 445M hadcm3s_1926_2001_2_008987136 4.0K hadcm3s_1926_2001_2_008987136.xml 783M hadcm3s_1b4d_2001_2_008989807 4.0K hadcm3s_1b4d_2001_2_008989807.xml 783M hadcm3s_1b5x_2001_2_008989863 4.0K hadcm3s_1b5x_2001_2_008989863.xml 445M hadcm3s_1bpb_2001_2_008990561 4.0K hadcm3s_1bpb_2001_2_008990561.xml 445M hadcm3s_1bzu_2001_2_008990940 4.0K hadcm3s_1bzu_2001_2_008990940.xml 782M hadcm3s_1eqb_2001_2_008994485 4.0K hadcm3s_1eqb_2001_2_008994485.xml 784M hadcm3s_1eqg_2001_2_008994490 4.0K hadcm3s_1eqg_2001_2_008994490.xml 797M hadcm3s_1iyl_1990_2_008928855 4.0K hadcm3s_1iyl_1990_2_008928855.xml 796M hadcm3s_1ms3_2000_2_008933805 4.0K hadcm3s_1ms3_2000_2_008933805.xml 796M hadcm3s_1ojs_2000_2_008936098 4.0K hadcm3s_1ojs_2000_2_008936098.xml 797M hadcm3s_1rof_2000_2_008940153 4.0K hadcm3s_1rof_2000_2_008940153.xml 797M hadcm3s_1s19_2000_2_008940615 4.0K hadcm3s_1s19_2000_2_008940615.xml 2.3M hadcm3s_7.24_i686-pc-linux-gnu 664K hadcm3s_data_7.24_i686-pc-linux-gnu.zip 2.7M hadcm3s_se_7.24_i686-pc-linux-gnu.so 3.7M hadcm3s_se_7.24_i686-pc-linux-gnu.zip 6.2M hadcm3s_um_7.24_i686-pc-linux-gnu 2.6M hadcm3s_um_7.24_i686-pc-linux-gnu.zip 5.1M hadrm3p_anz_um_6.10_i686-pc-linux-gnu 2.1M hadrm3p_anz_um_6.10_i686-pc-linux-gnu.zip 5.1M hadrm3p_eu_um_6.09_i686-pc-linux-gnu 2.1M hadrm3p_eu_um_6.09_i686-pc-linux-gnu.zip 5.4M hadrm3p_pnw_um_7.22_i686-pc-linux-gnu 2.2M hadrm3p_pnw_um_7.22_i686-pc-linux-gnu.zip 16K pnw.jpg 4.5M ttf 4.1M txf Should I delete these? Suspend downloads?
(Message 49994)
Posted 4 Sep 2014 by Graeme Hewson Post: How can I prevent new WUs being downloaded, while continuing to process WUs already downloaded? If I edit my preferences and untick all the applications, this is interpreted to mean I want to run all the applications -- when I go back to edit my preferences, all the applications are ticked. |

climateprediction.net domain has expired!
(Message 49090)
Posted 14 May 2014 by Graeme Hewson Post: http://climateprediction.net is unreachable for anyone not using ac.uk nameservers, because the domain expired last Sunday, 11th May. There's a grace period of 16 days to renew it see http://www.123-reg.co.uk/support/answers/Domains/Domains-Explained/what-is-the-domain-recovery-period-and-how-can-i-restore-my-domain-names-4086/ I emailed the domain registrant yesterday, but got no reply. (He's now removed his email address from the WHOIS record.) |
