I am getting the following message ;;climateprediction.net Message from server: No work available for the applications you have selected. Please check your settings on the web site.

What do I need to do : I cannot find where this \"setting is\" so I am at a loss....ideas?

Hi, Robby

To change your model preferences all you need to do is click the “your account” in the blue box on the left hand side of this page and then click “ClimatePrediction.net preferences” next to ‘resources share and graphics”. You should now be able to see the model types. Scroll down to the bottom and click “edit preferences”.

As I understand it only the Hadsm3, Hadsm3mh and Hadam3p models are presently available. Pick one or more by placing a check mark in the box. Remove any check marks in the Hadcm3 or Hadam3 boxes. Then click the “update preferences” button at the bottom. Happy crunching.

I found it !!!! does it hurt anything to just check them all? 2 of these systems are rarely checked and I just found them down after a dry spell... does the server \"look at the system specs and allot the work to the best systems ? just courious thanks again

it looks like the local prefs on each machine is the problem it is either run while in use, or not Robby

Just got through going over my prefs AGAIN! and found in CPDN prefs where you tell it what kind of model you prefer and found it was set to school NOT home , this would explain the addition of a second model on the fast machine, I will give the servers about an hour to catch up then I will update again and see if this clears things up Robby

Thanks for the replies !!! I did put the prefs to run only one core (CPDN and Rosetta) but on my fast machine ...it has for the third time started a second CPDN
I have updated like crazy , and have caught the servers down plenty . on an interesting note when reading prefs for Rosetta the messages said it was getting them from CPDN ,this was in my messages . if the CPDN errors were in the past week then it may have been from me aborting the second task , also the fast computer is running at 3.4 ghz and is orthos stable running no higher than 132 f presently 124f.
is there a way i can post a screen shot of my settings ( I have never done this )
note one computer was running only CPND and the other Rossetta for simplicity but the CPDN was sluggish and it was being turned off so this was split across 2 computers to try and keep things running.

I recently found that running 2 climate predictions on a intel 6600 made the system sluggish , whereas running 2 rosetta\'s was not so bad I am assuming the data buss traffic created by CPDN is the culprit , so I went about setting CPDN up to stop when working but let Rosetta continue to run. well it ain\'t working out so good. either they both run or they both stop . in home prefs I made each one run on one processor but I told CPDN not to run while computer is in use and Rosetta TO RUN while computer is in use, but while in \"run by prefs\" both will run , any ideas?

12) Questions and Answers : Wish list : delay on start-up (Message 29832)

Post:
I would like to see a delay to start,in 5 min incrm. some spyware virus programs runs at start-up to keep everything clean but it is not CPU hungry but data buss hungry so affinity does not matter my wife started a full system scan running BOINC and Kaspersky took 20 hours , she now knows BOINC must be stopped to do this , ( and this usually is not restarted)or how about a time window from 3:00 am to 3:45 (15 min incrm) boinc will shut down while a scheduled scan runs . I use copernic to index my hard drive and it needs a few minutes of pure idle time to keep-up with daily changes. I would really appreciate these changes so up time can stay high thank you Robert
