I got several working unities. All are defective! BOINC calculated two to three hours, then the whole system brokes down. The WU was loaded up and a new downgeloadet. I begin over and over again with zero and receive no credits for the work. All the other projects (Seti, Einstein, Predictor) work easily. This does no more fun!

It is difficult to give you useful advice because there are many different things that may be going wrong. Generally speaking, Climate Prediction runs reliably, and if you get repeated failures like this it is likely that there is something wrong with your computer. A good place to look for suggestions is <a href="http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewforum.php?f=23">here</a> in the posts by UK_Nick on hardware checks and hardware maintenance. There is also the possibility of software conflicts, as there may be processes that are loaded at startup that cause problems, particularly with file handling.

If you can post an example of the error messages you get when the program fails it is possible that people can help further.

After these announcements have come, the complete system said goodbye. BOINC have uploaded the incomplete WU and downloaded to themselves a new one. But always the same errors after two or three hours: calculation mistake.

Now I have doubled RAM and have cleaned the processor fan. The temperature sank by 10 degrees. Still: after 1 hour 37 minutes "calculation error". Only climate, no other project. I give up :-(
