Does anyone know when the CPDN beta site will be back up? One of my machines has about 30 zip file backed up from 2 W@home tasks that I finished over the outage.

My beta zip files have all uploaded but the two completed tasks have been unable to report.

This has made it's way to the moderators list so there may be an answer later today, i.e. after 09:00 or it may be a bit earlier that they start work at Oxford.

WAH2 PNW task uploads for beta are sent to http://boinc1.coas.oregonstate.edu/cpdn_cgi_main/file_upload_handler which is working.

All of the other beta WAH2 region uploads are sent to http://cpdnbeta.oerc.ox.ac.uk/beta_cgi/file_upload_handler and are failing.

BOINC treats uploads on the project level rather that the upload URL level, so pending WAH2 PNW uploads might never be attempted if you have uploads for other regions. You can force the PNW uploads to be done by selecting the first one and clicking the "Retry Now" button, but you'll probably have to repeat this a few times because BOINC starts with the first file which isn't backed off, tries 3 files and goes into a project backoff if they all fail.

BOINC treats uploads on the project level rather that the upload URL level, so pending WAH2 PNW uploads might never be attempted if you have uploads for other regions.

We got BOINC to change this, starting (I think) with the first BOINC v7.x releases. If you are using a new-ish client, every upload should be tried at least once as soon as it's ready, rather than waiting behind uploads from other regions that might be stuck as Ian describes.

My zips were all eu tasks, I should open up the relevant config file and look to see where they are going.

My RAC continues to change with daily updates, but my total credit has not changed for several days.

Because one or more scripts have stopped. It's been reported, but it's Ahmm "The Weekend".
Weekends seem to occur more often these days. :)

Thank you Les, I assumed that was the case, but I wondered if it had been reported.

Yes, the weekend again, then there will be the announced Monday shut down, so I guess it will be another week before things get back to "normal" (whatever that is?).

It will probably be next Tuesday or later before the credit updates happen again.
See http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=8096&nowrap=true#52767
By that time all my backed-up uploads from the outage (on cheap cheesy ADSL) will be all caught up.
No worries, keep on crunching

There is no "normal". There's only what is possible, within known constraints.
But we all know that already

I see that my credit total has now been updated, but only for one small amount. I assume that there will be a Catch-up later, for all the crunching done when the site was off line?

There will be a catch up. I notice that as well as credit not moving I have a backlog of zip files giving the transient http error, saying internet access OK Project servers may be temporarily down. However it is almost the weekend so don't expect the scripts to run and update credit before Monday if they havent run by 5.00pm UK time.
