I'm back!! Took your advice about detaching and resetting the overdue hadcm3 project a couple of weeks ago. Did the reset on Apr.6. Got a replacement downloaded on Apr.7. It's also a hadcm3 Rapit experiment. However, less than 2 minutes after it starts running I get a pop-up box titled "Intel Visual Fortran run-time error". No error message(s) appear in Boinc's message window though so it looks like all is normal - but I have Task Manager running and see that the CPU usage stays at "0" - when the experiments run normally the Task Manager shows almost 100% usage. SO the experiment is halted but appears it will never be able to advise CPDN of that fact except eventually by default - i.e. no data trickling up. I may be able to provide a copy of the screen shot I captured showing the error message and its contents if that will help you. Let me know if you want it or not and if so, what is the process for doing so. I intend to abort this project unless you need me to keep it for further analysis. I have just now changed my CPDN preferences to not accept any more hadcm3 experiments due to their short cycle and my slow PC. Awaiting your response/comments. |
