Hello experts,
I am using BOINC 6.12.34x64 under Windows 7 Pro. I ran several jobs of climateprediction.net and they cost me at last 12GB hard disl space.
Now after the last job has finished I would liberate this occupied space and therefore I resetted the project but with ni help. It's stil requiring so much space.
Should I try to erase all the files by hand and is it possible to save my credits and profile for further runs ?
Apparently it ist NOT possible to detach from the peroject because this function is no more highlighted in the newer BOINC versions.
So please give me a hint for the disk space problem.
Greetings from Germany

Yes you can delete the files relating to the different jobs by hand. Go to the projects/climateprediction.net folder and you can delete the folders for the different jobs. Check first that they have gone from the BOINC Manager and that the results have all uploaded. Otherwise some work done will be lost. If you go back to running cpdn on your machine later you will still have all your credits.

Detach has been renamed Remove but stills functions as before. It could be disabled by an account manager.

The reason why they cost you so much disk space, is because your computer is crashing most of the models it's run.
Only successful models get all traces removed after they finish.
And Resetting won't remove the remnants either. It HAS to be done manually.
