BOINC client reports 2GB available - account prefs specifies 8GB for BOINC - why can't I get that setting to stick?

"9/18/2011 11:33:05 AM climateprediction.net Message from server: UK Met Office Coupled Model Full Resolution Ocean needs 1271.28MB more disk space. You currently have 528.72 MB available and it needs 1800.00 MB."

Your list of models show that 4 failed. When this happens, the 'clean up' routine often gets bypassed, leaving various remnants of models in the BOINC folder.

Look under Projects/climateprediction.net, and compare the model names with those still in your Tasks tab. Any that are NOT current can be deleted, which will give you back some space. How much is another matter. :)

Then there's the other trap: project server prefs, and local (override) prefs.

Thanks to both respondents. The local prefs were the problem. All now seems OK.

Both respondents?

OK, so I should have put my spectacles on before replying.

Thanks again - R
