I\'ve cured most of my problems by reinstalling the standard version of BOINC--the new beta version was causing me nothing but trouble. The only remaining problem is that one of my processes is dead and part of BOINC does not know it. It died of a severe FORTRAN error. It was post-processed and a new task was assigned. But I continue to show three tasks running--and this state of affairs has persisted for a LONG time. Is there any way to get someone from BOINC to blow the task away so it can be reassigned?

BOINC doesn\'t do any processing, so it\'s not up to \'BOINC people\'.

If you have an orphan process still running, then the cure is to Exit from BOINC, and then re-boot the computer.
If you have a task that\'s still running when you don\'t think it should be, then select it and click Abort.

But it\'s possible that the task is still OK.
Fortran errors don\'t necessary kill a model.
