Hello, I attached to several BOINC projects, and all of them work correctly except climate prediction. Even when all the others are suspended, there is no activity on the climate project - no time has elapsed or progress made, and it isn\'t downloading anything as far as I can tell.

Does anyone have an idea what might be the problem?
Thanks

It could be lots of things.
In the manager:
The project is set to \"No new tasks\" in the project\'s tab.

On your account page on the server, you\'ve only selected one or two types of model to download, and those aren\'t one of the three currently available.
Look at the blue menu to the left of here, and click either Applications, or Server Status to find the current models.

There are other possibilities, but I\'ll wait until I know about these two.

Finally, you don\'t have enough memory for this project. Unlike others, which are written by the project people, this one uses supercomputer programs from the UK Met Office, and needs at least 500 Megs of ram, and preferably 1G.
If you don\'t have the minimum, there\'s going to be a lot of swapping between ram and the hard disk, adding to the ware and tear on the hd, and decreasing the chances of completing a model.

Ah, thank you, I have selected the \'Prefer this model\' checkboxes on my account page, and it seems to be going now. Thanks for your help.
