I would like to carry on my part in the project but there is a problem.
My new dual core pc reacts to the Boinc software in a bad way: it works for 90% on 1 core and leaves the aother one alone. The reslut is tension changes (volts) on the ventilator that gives a nasty coming and going noise (cat'screaming) and is killing my ventilator.
So I shut down my project and await your advise.
Hope to hear form you soon.
Regards,
Kothar

I suspect that you have 2 separate problems:

1) Only one core:
You haven't "told" BOINC that you have a 2 processor computer.
You need to do this in your preferences (Computing preferences on your account page); the latest version of BOINC uses percentages for the number of processors to use, to cater for the future, where 8 or more processors becomes the norm. (100% means: use all of the available processors.)

2) Noise:
Your computer's cooling is inadequate.
"Off the shelf" computers mostly use a sleeve bearing fan for cooling, and these can soon become noisy. Replace with a ball bearing fan. Better still, several of them.
It's also possible that something is loose and doing the vibrating.
