One machine completed a big project last week. It downloads a new project and then immediately sends a finished report and uploads the result, which is zero. The BOINC server waits 24 hours to download a new project and the same thing happens. This has been going on daily for one week.

I disconnected from the project, un-installed the BOINC program from my machine, the re-installed BOINC and it goes back to where it left off.

What can I do to get a working project?

You must be talking about this computer.

This has too little memory for many of the projects here. Find another project, or get more memory is my only suggestion.

That AMD Sempron is based on the AthlonXP. Unfortunately, the latest experiment (hadam3p) automatically errors out on CPUs without SSE2 support. So all AthlonXP based and Pentium 3 processors will crash with this new model. I would suggest going into your climateprediction.net preferences and only selecting other model types that you may want to run. Tolu, the programmer, knows of this problem, but I am unsure when it will be solved.

Thanks geophi,

I have never adjusted my preferences so how do I limit my downloads to specific model types?

Go to \"Your account\" link on the left hand side.

Then edit your Climateprediction.net preferences\" and select only the models you want to run. They are probably all unchecked right now, which means you will randomly get a certain model type. Just check the ones that you want to run, and ensure that hadam3p is unchecked.
