I\'m new here and I have started my first run in climateprediction. However, according to Boinc, there is 1387hr until completion!!! In comparison, my runs in worldcommunity grid only last 6 to 10hrs.
Is it normal that my climateproject task lasts so long?

There are different types of model available from Climateprediction.net but they are all much longer than most other BOINC projects, and the time you have quoted seems reasonable for the model type you have. You currently have an 80 year HADCM3 which is one of the longer types. Information how the models work and the requirements is here, along with information on how to select different types of model. You might also want to look through the general readmes here.

I\'ve been running this boinc program for a couple years now, and yes that is the right size for WU\'s here. Actually your WU is kinda small:-) , I\'m running one now that is aproximately 2800 hrs, it has to be completed by 02/09/2011. So dont worry, just keep on crunching!!
