Win XP(home) Everything seemed to be working fine - I got to just under 1.5% completed. Then, when starting up I got the \"blue screen\" - checking my hard drive. This listed three or four BOINC files and described them as \"invalid\" - and stated that they were being \"truncated\". Since then nothing seems to be happening, and the screen saver says \"no grapics-capable applications are running\".
Is the problem at my end or BOINC\'s?
And what can I do to get things moving again?

This is the wish list message board so you may not get too many answers here, try looking through the Windows board above for more information on how to get things going again.

You might also want to do a surface scan to check for errors on the HD and also defrag the HD too.

Do the processes under taskmanager indicate any boinc or Hadsm3 processes running? You might want to keep in mind what software you were running when things crashed, sometimes there are incompatibilities.

I assume you have tried a reboot and re-start of boinc. If boinc doens't start then you may have to re-install the boinc client then get a new model. I'm pretty new to the boinc side of things so if you read through the Windows platform problems and also on the Climateprediction.net community space you will probably find more answers.

Hi John,

The only way you're likely to CPDN running again is by doing a project reset. That'll invalidate your current model and force another one to be downloaded.
