I am doing a HADCM3 coupled Model. Only 1 trickle of many has appeared on website, but no credits as of yet!
How long does a trickle take to turn into credit?
What happens to the old BBC credit?

Thanks

Jimmi

The credit program runs once per day, due to the high server load.

The BBC credit is for a separate project, and, like all projects, will only be combined into a total for all of your projects on the various external stats sites. It will/should appear as a separately list item on your Account page.

This latter doesn\'t seem to have occurred in your case. It\'s possible that this is because you have only just started \"over here\".

Edit

You have a few models listed, but don\'t seem to have returned trickles for the earlier ones.
Give it some time and see what happens.

Les, there appear still to be problems with the upload servers, which will also make trickles slow to appear as credits - our team total hasn\'t updated since yesterday, for example. See the server status page http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/server_status.php

Best regards,

In my case, trickles from my HADCM3 models are being registered on the website promptly - within 5 minutes of the reporting time shown om my computer.

But the separate credit-granting process (which as Les says is supposed to run once every 24 hours) seems to have failed to convert those trickles into credits on both of the last two nights.

The final stage of the process, which dumps a big XML datafile for the statistics sites to use, has run as normal, but the file has contained the same values for three days running.

Don\'t worry, Jimmi, these glitches happen from time to time, but the credits always catch up with a rush when the staff come in and give the servers a good spring-clean.

Hi!

Thanks for quick reply.
I will wait and see then.
With regarding to the other model, they seemed to fail. I get error messages on the previous one, regarding url, and asking me to detach, reatach project. So models are lost.

Thanks

Jimmi

I usually don\'t take a great deal of notice of my credits, but because of the recent server upgrade, and the difficulties involved in getting access to the SAP server to make hardware upgrades, I\'ve had a look the last couple of days.
And I\'ve become suspicious of a couple of items:
1) My position in the cpdn list of Top participants is just below 2 people with zero rac, and so I should have moved way past them, and
2) I still don\'t have anything from the new beta site.

So it does look as though Something Is Wrong.
I\'ll PM Milo. (Unless I find that\'s already been done when I get to the other board.)

PM sent and reply received.

Work has been going on, but it\'ll be next week now before the matter will be looked at again. Weekends seem to be showing up much more quickly lately.

:) Les, a bit off topic but i think the problem is the same. I am not being able to access my account page? pass word rejected but it seems to work on the forum??
Please, can i have my credits now? I have not uttered a peep so far, but no credits for quite a while. :( As for CPDN Beta and SAP, I think i have given up.
Regards
Masud.

There should be only one password for all of it, as it\'s all part of BOINC.
Perhaps you have 2 accounts, and are trying to access one with the password of the other.
I never log out of any of the sites, so I\'m not well versed on fine details.

I\'ve just noticed that I\'m received 7,061 credits on this site since my previous message.
This should get transferred to stats sites in the next 10 hours or so.

The knock on effect is \'climateapps3\' is down.
Personally, have 2050 zip now bouncing around.
Chris.
Edit. Up and running again;)
