hi,

I\'m running BOINC clients on many machines without any problems.
But I\'m not able to upload one of the tasks on one machine. The machine is able to upload SETI\'s tasks, but has problem with CLIMATEPREDICTION task. I did try it with the proxy enabled, even with direct access (the machine has direct access to the Internet), without success. The error is \"Temporarily failed upload of hadcm3istd_2jf9_1920_160_05923027_4_3.zip: http error\". It is possible to solve this issue?

regards,
mk

If it happened in the last hour or so, then it\'s probably just the servers being kept very busy with the daily credit/export run which is at about this time of day.

Let BOINC try again soon.
(In fact, I usually find that trying again in 5 minutes is sufficent to get server access.)

at the begining I thought the same. but the status is the same for a week now. the delay between every try is 3 hours now. Is there any other detailed log file I can check?

Can you think of anything which had changed at the same time uploads stopped working? (For example, a microsoft update, change in your network, or alternatively an update of the Boinc software?)

Have you tried the new version 5.10.45? It is supposed to work better with proxy servers. Note that in some cases you need to set a special flag to tell it which type of proxy server it is. Whenever you update the Boinc software, you need to re-create your firewall rules so that it knows about the new version.

there were no changes in the infrastructure, no changes in the configuration of proxy servers or routers/firewalls at all. no MS updates on the server architecture here during the last month.

there is no local firewall on the server itself. I also disabled mcafee antivirus on the server, but this didn\'t help. any other communications are running fine (SETI uploads & downloads).

I can wait till new package from climateprediction prediction will be ready to upload. I will also try to upgrade the client (current version is 5.10.30). Isn\'t it possible to upload a completed package from different machine?

I will let you know. Anyway thanks for your answers.

regards,
mk

Another possible place where a change may have occurred, is at your ISP. This has happened to others.

Note that there is a time limit for zip uploads; 14 days after the first attempt, BOINC will abort all further attempts and delete the zip file.

ou, with version 5.10.45 I managed it to upload the package. error with direct access, error with standard proxy, but success with another available proxy server.

thank you very much to you both for the help.
