http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/UnixClient The authenticator line (account key) should be in the account_climateprediction.net.xml file in the BOINC directory of your Windows PC. the command line option is --attach_project URL account_key where the URL should be http://climateprediction.net |

I usaully copy the account_*.xml file over in this case. Once it is in BOINC\'s directory the next time BOINC starts it will automatically attach to the project. The other method I use is attaching to an account manager. Do that once and then you can attach to projects using a web page. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |

Thank you very much, it`s work! And now i\'m trying to start BOINC on another pc (freebsd) But there is another trouble. All that i see is: \" Number of CPUs: 2 1387 floating point MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU 3544 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU Resuming computation \" A started BOINC on freebsd yesterday, but there is no changes. Can\'t find anythink in wiki and google. Can you help me, where is my bad ? |

Another way of doing it is to use the Boinc manager on one PC to control the Boinc client on another PC. You need to set up the remote authentication stuff to do that. I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |

Just started boinc as client with -allow_remote_gui_rpc All good, but climateprediction.net does\'t know platform i386-portbld-freebsd \" Message from server: platform \'i386-portbld-freebsd\' not found Deferring communication for 1 days 0 hr 0 min 0 sec Reason: requested by project \" Thats reason because my boinc on freebsd can\'t recieve task. Can i update my boinc or change platform label? And i have another question. For example: i calc climatprediction and connect to SETI@home How can i group this projects on my account? As i know there is email and password, if my email in SETI = email in climatprdiction then all of this projects we\'ll be on my account ? |

Message from server: platform \'i386-portbld-freebsd\' not found The name that you use MUST be \"general\". i.e. \"linux\" something something. For example: i calc climatprediction To start with, ALL projects Must be \"Attached\" using the same \"user name/email address\" combination. (These can be changed on a project\'s web site under your Account.) Second, as ALL projects are completely separate to each other, it\'s not possible to have them show up on your Account page in one place on any given project. To see all of them in one place you need to visit an external stats site, such as BOINCstats. AND to have used the same identifier, as mentioned above. Backups: Here |
