i am running Fedora 7 and on top of that I have loaded MYSQL, PHP,NET-SNMP,ntop,MRTG,NAGIOS & CACTI
IS THERE GOING TO BE ANY PROBLEM LOADING BOINC ON TOP OF THIS?

There\'s really only one way to find out. :)
Some combinations work, and some don\'t.

(Putting a thick blanket over the Cacti before putting anything on top of it may help.)

How many nodes will you be monitoring with Nagios? How many network interfaces will you be monitoring with ntop/cacti? Are you running the stock kernel or a custom kernel?

There can be a latency issue with BOINC running, even when it\'s NICE-ed to low priority. Other than that, linux will handle all these applications just fine.

I would try it carefully. Check your \"Check Latency\" in the nagios performance page once BOINC is running. If you expect peak load during a certain time of day, you can configure BOINC preferences to not run during that time or only allow network during off-peak network times, etc. Also, if you have multiple CPUs in this box, you could have BOINC use only 1 CPU and leave the other CPU to do its job.
