I have had a look at my credits for cpdn and i`ve noticed that i have been getting lower credits than other parties on one result in particular i only received c.19500 credits yet someone else that had completed a project that was some 10years behind in timesteps had received over c.20000 credits ,why is this?I dont know without looking further if I have other result`s like this.

The vast majority of your recent models have crashed quite quickly, and none appear to have completed successfully. I don\'t however see the model you are referring to. Could you provide a link?

http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/results.php?hostid=589583

The crashed models all seem to display this:

CPDN process is not running, exiting, bRetVal = 1, checkPID=0, selfPID=2904, iMonCtr=1
Model crash detected, will try to restart...

Sorry, too many model crashes! :-(

Do you ever run anything which takes all the CPU time for an extended period of time? (i.e., video compression, games, ...) If so, then it may help to right-click and \'exit\' on the boinc icon before starting them. Afterwards you\'ll need to restart Boinc.

Credits are a fixed amount, and are given for trickles returned to the server.
If your model has spent hours getting close to a trickle point, but hasn\'t reached it, then no trickle will be returned.
Trickles are uploaded on about the 4th of December.

Some tips to prevent loss of crunch time:

1) Set \"Leave applications in memory while suspended?\" to yes. This will prevent loss of data, if some other computer program causes the model to be swapped out of memory.

2) Watch the Globe display when you want to shut down, and wait until the count down timer has returned from zero to a high number. (Depends on type of model.)
Shortly after this, the hard disk light will flash as the data gets saved.
Note: to see the timer, (while the display is showing), press Z, then 8.

Also, as noted in the News and Announcements thread at the top of the Number crunching forum, the credits program has failed to run for the last couple of days.

As for your models, they all appear to be crashing.
Please have a look through the README file Crashes and other problems linked from my sig below, and see if you can find the reason.

Ask again if you need further help.

Beaten to it. :)
