I would like to see a delay to start,in 5 min incrm. some spyware virus programs runs at start-up to keep everything clean but it is not CPU hungry but data buss hungry so affinity does not matter my wife started a full system scan running BOINC and Kaspersky took 20 hours , she now knows BOINC must be stopped to do this , ( and this usually is not restarted)or how about a time window from 3:00 am to 3:45 (15 min incrm) boinc will shut down while a scheduled scan runs . I use copernic to index my hard drive and it needs a few minutes of pure idle time to keep-up with daily changes. I would really appreciate these changes so up time can stay high thank you Robert

It\'s already possible to do these things.

1) To delay BOINC on startup, just use \"Suspend\" in the menu before shutting down; then BOINC won\'t start on re-boot.
2) You can set the times that BOINC runs with an option in General preferences on the server under Your Account. Then use \"Run according to preferences\".
The newest versions of BOINC also have this in an over-ride file in the BOINC folder, which you can set from BOINC.

If these are not suitable, you\'ll have to request them on the BOINC website, as it\'s nothing to do with cpdn.
