I have had my disk space limited to 1 Gb and 10 Gb at different times, but it is using 13 Gb. How do I get it to stay within the limits that I set for it?

Nearly every work unit ever tried since I installed climateprediction in July 2005 fails with \"client error\" (no more specific information than that is given). Is it possible that something is just not cleaning up after a client error?

You need to clean up after crashed models manually (the clean-up code is in the science app, but if the science app has crashed there\'s nothing to clean up after it).

Make a note of the running model name, then go into c:\\program files\\boinc\\projects\\climateprediction.net\\, and delete the folders which are for other models.

The reason that they\'re all crashing is that you\'re running Boinc 4.45, but the model is only compatible with versions 5 and higher, so uninstall Boinc 4.45, and install a more recent version (5.8.16 is recommended if you have a stable internet connection, otherwise 5.4). The downloads are from http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php

An example crashed model (there are 63, but this might include some \'phantom\' ones):

http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=6485360

They\'re crashing with this error code:

-1073741819 (0xc0000005)

If you\'re still getting crashed models after changing to 5.8, follow the link in my signature and take a look at the \'README - crashes and other problems\', and \'running the model\' posts to see if you can see any more ideas there (for example, norton utilities, old graphics drivers, and so forth), and post back here.

The 20 or so models that appear as downloaded on 13 October 2006 are indeed all phantoms - a lot of members got these during a server problem. There won\'t be any actual files on your computer relating to any of these phantoms.
