Everytime Boinc tries to get more work units it comes back with..."climateprediction.net - 2004-09-03 09:20:40 - Message from server: No work available (daily quota exceeded)" I started CP lastnight and got 4 WU's downloaded, I got errors on 3 of them and 1 WU started doing it's thing. This morning I see that it sent back the CP WU's and is giving me this "daily quota exceeded" message when it tries to get more work and I haven't done any WU's yet. Can someone explain this?
Thanks

Hi Greg,

Computer's are limited to a maximum of 4 WUs in a 24 hour period. The project team introduced the limit after one system ate 50,000 WUs during the beta trial :o

Did you shut down your system overnight? BOINC has no control over the shutdown sequence and it's possible to get a file corruption that makes it impossible for the job to continue when the system comes back up if you don't close BOINC before shutting down.

The other thing to beware of when you get more work is that a corrupted file has got into a load of workunits, but there is a work around if you get the problem :)

Thanks to sjokela for doing the investigative work and UK_Nick for providing a link to the file that fixes the problem.

Thyme,
Thanks for the help. As I was about to try the fix from sjokela & UK_Nick, I realized that I detached the project and when I reattached it seems that I finally got an uncorrupted download and finally started crunching.
