SETI@home and CPDN can be run with XP and IE7. That\'s what I\'m doing now. But, would there be any advantage in running these projects on Linux? Specifically, would Linux be faster? I\'m trying to decide whether Linux is worth trying.

The latest climate models are faster on Windows than Linux, although I\'m not sure by how much.
When they take 3000+ hours anyway, the difference may not be a problem.
