I heard BOINC can take advantage of SMP, but it seems that it is only using 99% of one processor and non of the second. i would like it to use 99% of one and 99% of the other, when i\'m not on the computer and only 99% of one when i am. is there a way to do this?

It\'s not possible to crunch the one work unit on both processors.

If you change the setting in General preferences for the number of processors to use, you can run one model on each processor.
There is also an option there to not run while you\'re using the computer.
But you can\'t do what you\'re after.

I\'m fairly certain that something similar has been asked on the BOINC/dev boards.
