Hi guys,

I\'m doing CPDN for the first time after crunching some other projects. Now my experience from HashClash/SETI/Einstein tells me that occasionally people will crash a WU or get an invalid result without a real reason... some people overclocking their PCs too much, others getting problems with the science app, or my computer froze up due to a driver conflict, corrupted some of the data on my HDD and trashed two half-finished WUs in the process. It simply happens, especially on Windows boxes.
But in a project with much much longer runtimes like this one it would be kind of risky if stuff like this happened, so how do you manage to avoid it?
Just curious, I study Informatics and like my gadgets ;-)

On the BBC forum are 4 Readme posts, all containing solutions to many problems. I\'d suggest looking at the Running the Model Readme, and going to links #1, 5 and 6 in Solutions to Models Crashing.

We designed the Readmes for BBC model crunchers, but almost everything is the same for standard cpdn models.
