Hello.

Hi after I had to reinstall WinXP, I switched to a newer Boinc version, how can I import the old data from a backup-file?

Thx.

The best way to do this is copy the old data to the new install under the directory you want it to run. Install the current version over that copy. Install the upgrade over that copy. This is the cleanest way.

If BOINC was lower than 4.2x, you\'d install the lower version, run an uninstall on it, then install the new version, leaving the files in tact.

Hope this helps.

If you already started crunching for other projects, set them to no new work. When finished, uninstall the current version, then follow the first set of instructions I just gave you.

Thank you, it runs just fine now and the crunching time was not lost.
