I tried the upgrade via the fix - but there is no action. is there any description of the steps, how to change \"www.climateprediction.net\" - perhaps I make a mistake . . .

Are you using an AMS (Account Management System) peterfilla?

All you should have to do is:

  • extract the URL fix program to your BOINC directory.
  • stop BOINC.
  • backup the BOINC directory.
  • run the URL fix program.
  • restart BOINC.

  • extract the URL fix program to your BOINC directory.
  • stop BOINC.
  • backup the BOINC directory.
  • run the URL fix program.
  • restart BOINC.




AMS: No (? I am not a computer-freak, so I am not sure)

1. I stopped BOINC and made a backup of the BOINC-folder

2. downloaded the cpdn_fix_xml.zip-file and unzipped it into the BOINC-directory

3. I started the cpdn_fix_xml.exe with double-click

. . .then I checked the xml.files and the folder-names . . and found still www.climateprediction.net . . .

just ignore it for now and when your model finishes detach from the project and re-attach with the proper URL
