Hi, like others I have been experiencing problems with segfaults on the most recent version of boinc. I read that this is due to it being compiled with an older version of GLIBC than the one I have. Would giving users the source code and letting them compile for their own machine solve this? It could also mean code optimised for their setup?

The source code is owned by the Met Office, and they don\'t hand it out without VERY good reason. And a lot of legal red tape.
