The cheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi failed with a return value of 500 message means that there is a problem with the size of data packets at a server somewhere between you and the project.

Are you using a proxy server? Possibly \"yes\" if it\'s a company computer.

Hi Les,

Is there any way round this packet size problem e.g. requesting or sending smaller packets ?

Many thanks,
Yuri.

The latest version of BOINC, 5.4.9, is supposed to have a fix. Available here.
A 5.* version is also need for the latest models, which is why yours are crashing on download.

Version 4.19 must be uninstalled first, as there was a major change at version 4.2* which will leave you with split versions if you don\'t.

Will upgrading to the newest version create a new computer ID?

Probably not, didn\'t with mine anyway. Just make sure you don\'t attach to the project again by mistake!
