Ever since I set this project up it is wanting more and more space 1st it was 400 mg then 800 mg and now it wants 1.4 gig. And this is taking up all me harddrive resources, please let me know how I can set my preferences to on have it use no more than 400 mg.

The minimum for the current main project is about 550 MB. The reason that the space used has been going up will be the folders relating to old projects - you can identify the current one from the work tab, the others in the CPDN project folder of the BOINC disrectory can be deleted if you are short of space.

The place to delete things are the boinc/project/climate... folder. Anything in there that is not running currently under your work tab can be either backed up or deleted. I keep mine backed up just for the slim chance they may want the data at a later date.
