Hello!
As I moved with my laptop behind new firewall, the client hadn\'t connected for almost a month. Now I set the proper firewall in boincmgr and updated. As it had one completed job, it uploaded this but with an error.

<core_client_version>4.43</core_client_version>
<message><file_xfer_error>
<file_name>4861_a00297481_0_1.zip</file_name>
<error_code>-115</error_code>
<error_message>user requested transfer abort</error_message>
</file_xfer_error>

</message>

Can I do anything to prevent something like this from happening again?

Boinc tries to upload completed models only for 15 days.
After 15 days the model is \"put in the trash bin\".
The only thing you have to do is to upload completed models as soon as they are completed.

But looking at your account, it seems the wu was not completed (just the first phase), so there was perhaps another problem...

His upload was just the first zip for a sulphur model.

The best cure for this sort of thing is to make a backupup of the entire BOINC folder before you fiddle. Also, disconnect from the net, so that error messages don\'t get sent.
If something goes wrong, restore the backup, restart BOINC, and then reconnect the net.

Sulphur models are different to the older slab models. If you have BOINC 4.43 or greater, they upload a VERY large zip file after each end of phase, instead of saving it until the entire model is finished.
You can also get the latest 5.n BOINC from Berkeley. Again, backup before upgrading. And the new versions will have new bugs, as yet unknown.

So I do not quite get, did it just delete the result and current experiment was wasted or what? The folder 4861_a00297481 is still 1.2G in size so it should contain all the necessary data.
