I\'ve recently installed an fx5200-based graphics cards. After a lot of trouble I\'ve finally got X windows running again, but now when I try to run viz, I get the message ./globe.rgb: Permission denied.

Any ideas anyone?

Yes, I can run TuxRacer, and the command
'glxinfo | grep rendering'

returns

What file permissions has your globe.rgb? Are you running viz with the same user, which has downloaded the climate stuff / is running boinc?

Roger - that's me - is running boinc. There are two copies of globe.rgb on my system. One in /home/roger/slots/0 and the other in /home/roger/slots/1. Both files have read and write permission for roger and read permission for everyone else.

My globe.rgb rights:

In Climate dir:
-rw-rw-rw- 1 arnaud arnaud 1573376 aoû 3 09:54 globe.rgb

In slots dir:
-rw-r--r-- 1 arnaud arnaud 70 aoû 3 09:55 globe.rgb

Perhaps you could try to give write permission to everyone to your climate dir globe.rgb file.
