hi
my model (hadsm4.13, boinc 4.45, 0xan_100063606_1) was happily crunching at 56% complete until about a week ago, with 200 something hours left. now it shows 26% complete with 850 hours to go, WTF!!! it hasnt trickled for about a week. can anyone speculate on the cause? should i cancel this wu? it has created 720MB of files on my computer, and it should have finished by now.
thanks

What may have happened is that, for whatever strange reason, the WU was started over at timestep 1 of phase 1, even though you were more than halfway through phase 2 with this WU. I've had this happen twice to me. Both times were when there was a sudden, unexpected shutdown of that PC.

Besides the symptoms you've described, if you check the sec/TS on the CPDN graphic, it is probably unrealistically high. That is because the progress was reset to 0 when the TS was reset to 1 of phase 1, but the duration (time spent on the model) was retained. This is why your estimated time to completion is so high (unrealistically high, you are probably really still crunching at 1.6 sec/Ts so should really finish the model in less than 12 days from now).

You're options are:

a. Continue with the WU since you are a quarter of the way through it. If you are into it primarily for the science, to finish models, this is what you should do. However, you will not get any additional credits until you pass the point you were at before.
b. If you are in it primarily for the credits, you can do a project reset which will download a new WU.

Frustrating...believe me I know...
