I hope this doesn't get the stats board creators angry, but I made "fuller" XML stats dumps, so the USER file has host information etc (i.e. I'm running the BOINC db_dump with "" tag which gives a lot of output but hopefully it won't be so bad compressed)

you can get stats either at

http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/stats

or

http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/stats

They get generated every 4 hours.

Not angry - just a bit confused
Why would you chose to use the full export when the "new" (not full) export method was carefully produced by cleaning the old code to avoid redundant information and optimizing it to reduce load on the project's (as well as on the monitoring site's) servers?

Presently (with only around 500 active users) the load is nothing compared to what you will see when you release this stuff. In another thread you raised your concern about the network capacity: In seti the size of the files went from >1GB/file to something much smaller when changing to what is considered the newest and fastest code.

I know this is simply my own humble opinion, but I would suggest that you wait at least untill a couple of weeks after the release of CPDN/BOINC.

Looking forward to a successfull release =)

Thankyou Carl for (the crazy stats page makers) know... we could hardly get angry with such heads up.

The only thing that baffles me is why to put the host informatoin in User.xml. The way both SETI and Predictor does it is include just the ONE line (namely USERID) in the hosts.xml files, instead of 11 lines for EVERY host in user.xml (which if one person has 10 hosts is an extra 110 lines! instead of just 10 lines which would be in host.xml).

This will save you thousands of lines (hundreds of K) for every download of the xml files.

Grrrrr, it screwed up my last update........

I have about 400 duplicate users now.

Well, that's what I get for not using an XML parser....

I think I have it "stabilized" now -- the problem is that to show userid's from the host.xml you need to enable the flag in db_dump from BOINC, so that the host table could potentially be big. But you don't need on the user table & team table.

My hat is off to you again Carl, you have jumped on the issue very quickly.
