I am unable to get work because I have not enough free disk space (according to BOINC) how much space do you need? I have 10 Gb free on my hard drive and im using the default settings... Help please!

You need about 700M per processor, plus about 330M at completion of each model for some zipped data files.

For a HT P4, 2Gig of space to start with.

so how do you set it to allocate more disc space ? i am also having this problem with 16gig free on main drive and 150gig free on another.

You do it by changing your general preference settings from the My account page on the left.There are three settings affecting space allocation that you may need to adjust.

In your case I suggest moving BOINC on the drive with more space as well, if you have not already done so. Keep a backup copy of the BOINC directory if you already have work on it, then move the whole directory to the new drive and reinstall BOINC into it.

Installing BOINC on the system drive is best avoided if you can.

I do have it installed on a non system drive and this drive has 11 Gb free while my system drive only has 3 Gb free
as for the preferemce settings I left them at default... Unless that is the problem?

It was the problem... I needed to change the default settings down to using a max of 10 Gb and its working
