Can I reacquire or reregister previously downloaded WorkUnits?

I recently had a local disk problem and lost my entire BOINC directory. Looking in my RESULTS page, I see I still have some <b>in progress</b> work units signed out to me. How do I get them back to me so I can reprocess them or how do I tell the server that I'm no longer working them? <img src="http://www.boincsynergy.com/images/stats/comb-858.jpg"><img src="http://boincview.amanheis.de/boincview_small.png"> |

Sadly, there is no way of asking the server to reallocate the same WUs to you. The only way to go back to them would be if you had a backup - and if you had you would not be asking the question :( |

Each project has the same problem and each is now processing a new set or WUs. So far as CPDN is concerned, you could restore the backup of the BOINC folder and carry on, swapping it with the current WU, but when running multi-project that presents its own complications. |

fyi: I was able to restore the older WU and modify the <b>client_state.xml</b> file so that my current WU was preserved and my older WU is recognized and <i>Ready to run</i>. <img src="http://www.boincsynergy.com/images/stats/comb-858.jpg"><img src="http://boincview.amanheis.de/boincview_small.png"> |
