I've been getting this error over and over again (left the computer to run overnight). Tried resetting the project, but that didn't help.

Running BOINC 4.03 on Win XP.

Edit - Left a huge chunk of results on my results list - http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/results.php?userid=187
I've disabled BOINC until it gets fixed.

Tried killing all the other processes, but that didn't work, so I'm not sure what it is. The error code seems to be a shared memory violation.

That's as far as we got yes... so what about giving some details about the actual Windows you use? If Windows 2000 or XP, why not flu through Event Viewer for details?

If at least Windows Millennium or higher (2k or XP), why not get the log of Dr Watson? (Start-&gt;type msinfo32 {enter} .. For 2k and XP-&gt;Tools, Windows, Dr Watson.

Turned the computer off for a couple of hours, and it fixed itself. Rebooting earlier didn't help, so I don't know what's going on.

A couple of hours? You may need to change your time...

Then we only had my post inbetween before you posted back:

That's less than an hour as far as I can calculate. Maybe you want to give some details next time, or just say how many computers you have that you can leave off for seperate amounts of hours, or get into trouble.

Or we can ignore your cries for help...

Mahray,

I've managed to reproduce the error code consistently. Have a look at <a href="http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=155">this thread</a>

I've been getting this for days, looks like I'm not the only one! WHen are we going to see a fix for this? Once again CPDN is NOT user friendly :(
