if I want to have one SETI and CPDN continuously running on one processor each on my P4/HT. At the moment every hour it swaps between two SETIs, first SETI+CPDN and second SETI+CPDN.. but if I set general prefs to use one processor only, then it does what I want only it uses half the (physical) CPU.
Setting resource share to 33/67 would share more equally, but I\'d rather have one instance of SETI loaded only..

Set the queue length (connect every __ days) to be .1. This should limit you to a single S@H WU. If not, you can always try .05.

ok...that results in 2 setis and 2 cpdns. It is not that I have 'insufficient work' but two processors I think.
anyway I am now running two CP models..when one finishes, will telling it to use one processor only prevent another model from downloading?
and also, why can resource share not be set to 0 to temporarily pause a project?
